Lil Smokies in a Blanket / Lil Pigs in a Blanket

 Here's a simple recipe that is always a hit for holidays or other parties - Lil Smokie in a Blanket


  • 16 or 28 oz bag of Little Smokies (smoked cocktail sausages)
  • 1 can of refrigerated crescent rolls dough (8 roll can)


  • Heat oven to 350F
  • Lightly spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray or coat with a thin coat of cooking oil
  • Open the can of refrigerated crescent rolls dough. roll out dough and separate.
  • Open package of lil smokies
  • Using a sharp knife, cut the crescent roll dough sheets in small strips just big enough to completely roll around one lil smokie with a slight overlap.
  • Place the wrapped lil smokie on the baking sheet
  • Continue wrapping lil smokies until all are wrapped and placed on the baking sheet (in some cases more than one baking sheet may be required)
  • Place baking sheet on top rack of oven
  • Bake for 9-12 minutes until golden brown (exercise caution not to over cook at the bottoms will burn first)


Serve with mustard and ketchup on the side for dipping
