Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, Disney's Hollywood Studios - Commissary Lane, Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, FL

The Sci-Fi Theater Restaurant dining room

The Sci-Fi Theater Restaurant in Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios takes you back to a magical time in the 1950s when there were drive-in movie theaters. The dining room has tables and booths that resemble 1950 model cars.

Black and White trailers for 1950s science fiction movies play on a screen that all the cars are facing while the audio plays through the pole mount speaker boxes next to the cars while you dine.

Fried pickles served with Horseradish Dipping Sauce and Ranch Dressing on the side
Menu as of August 2018

The menu features a NY Strip Steak, a variety of burgers, sandwiches, wraps, as well as fried pickles and onion rings. They also offer Wines, Sangria, Cosmic Concoctions, Specialty Craft, Draft, and Bottled Beers. Their biggest claim to fame is their milkshakes.

Oreo Cookie Milk Shake
Our reviewers have made repeat trips and have enjoyed the menu and the ambiance on every trip. On the latest visit, we sampled the fried pickles (which we could not get enough), the Classic American Burger with Caramelized Onions, American Cheese, Bacon, Lettuce, and a slice of Tomato(which is grilled - not a greazy flat top but a grill), and the Oreo Cookie Milk Shake. The fried pickles are sliced dill pickles with a light batter and great taste. The horseradish dipping sauce is not overpowering but provides a delightful hit of heat. The burger was juicy but not greasy and thick piled high with lettuce, tomato, cheese, and bacon (which was done to a perfect texture - not too crispy, just right). The burger comes with your choice of french fries or a wheat berry salad with Tomatoes, Corn and Basil (served cold).

Everything was delicious, the service was fantastic, and we enjoyed the atmosphere.
