Lunch 12–3 PM

Dinner 3:05–9:30 PM

Our reviewers visited during lunch. After reviewing the lunch menu, we elected to sample the Boeuf Bourguignon, linguine and the Poulet fermier à la Layonnaise, pomme puree.

Boeuf Bourguignon, linguine

The Boeuf Bourguignon, linguine is beef braised in Cabernet with baby onions and carrots, served with linguine pasta. The beef was fork tender and had a delicious flavor that was enhanced by the cabernet sauce as well as the baby onions. It was a delicious meal that we can recommend to anyone who enjoys roasted beef.

Poulet fermier à la Layonnaise, pomme puree

The Poulet fermier à la Layonnaise, pomme puree is Lyon style roasted chicken served with tomatoes and vinegar sauce, mashed potatoes and broccoli. The chicken was moist and tender and very flavorful. The tomatoes and vinegar sauce was well balanced and not over powering. The broccoli was served crisp with mild seasoning. The mashed potatoes were a balanced combination of chunked and whipped with a delicious seasoning.

The menu includes a selection of wines, mixed drinks, and soft drinks. We sampled the Lillet Vive and the French Martini. The Lillet Vive is Aperitif Lillet White, Tonic, and Cucumber. It was a flavorful drink highlighted by the cucumber and effervescent. The French Martini is Vodka, Chambord Liquor, Pineapple Juice and Raspberry with lemon froth. It was well balanced and not overpowering flavored mainly by the raspberry.
