The Diamond Horseshoe
Magic Kingdom Park, Liberty Square
12:00 PM - 2:55 PM
3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
The Diamond Horseshoe is a restaurant in the Liberty Square section of the Magic Kingdom. At one time it hosted a live stage show which is no more...
The self playing piano has been left center stage as the final bit of amusement left of the grand show.
Unfortunately, the food experience has slid off of the table along with the old stage show. The menu brags about all you can eat delectable entrees such as:
Barbecue Pulled Pork
Carved Turkey Breast
Corn on the Cob
Baked Macaroni & Cheese
Sadly, the pulled pork is unappetizing ready-made from a food distribution company (think heat and eat), the "carved turkey" is simply sliced sandwich meat (think cheap deli packs at the corner gas station), and the Cowboy beans taste like Van Camp Pork-n-Beans poured straight from the can into a heating pan and served. We're pretty sure the "baked" mac-n-cheese was an out of the box stir and server as well.
While the service we received was great, we were summarily disappointed with our visit to the Diamond Horseshoe and found it highly overpriced for the low quality of the food. Disney lists the dining experience as "$35 to $59.99 per adult", which we have to say is $25 to $49.99 overpriced for what we could pick up at the corner Quicky Mart. We highly recommend avoiding the Diamond Horseshoe like the bubonic plague as there are a great deal of restaurants in the Magic Kingdom offering much better entrees than what the Diamond Horseshoe is dishing up.
